The Regional Transit Feasibility Plan is not just another study.
The purpose of the Regional Transit Feasibility Plan is to define a regional transit vision and identify a catalyst that has the greatest potential to be built (i.e., compete for state and federal funds). The catalyst is not a replacement for future transit projects nor is it the only transit recommendation for the Tampa Bay region.
The Regional Transit Feasibility Plan is a two-year effort divided into two phases:
- Phase 1 included identifying the highest performing regional transit network (or Vision) for Tampa Bay as well as identifying the project that could begin implementation with the next few years.
- Phase 2 includes understanding the community’s preferences regarding the draft plan and catalyst project.
